CHURCH LAUNCH            SEPTEMBER 2019

ABOUT THE PASTORS

Pat earned a theology degree from Portland Bible College, and volunteered in ministry for 12 years before being offered the Youth Pastor position at The Promise Church. He worked as a youth pastor for three years before moving to an Associate Pastor position, where he has worked for the past 2 years. Pat and Katrina have two kids, Cadence (9) and Gabe (6).

During Vision Sunday 2017 The Promise Church Senior Leaders presented a five year goal of planting a church. It immediately resonated with them and in early spring 2017 God put a vision in their hearts to plant a church in St. Helens.

The Promise Church St. Helens will be a church that values the presence of God above all else. Creating a culture for people to connect to God and to each other through small groups and reaching out to the community is Pat and Katrina's passion. Believing that every person who has a relationship with God has access to God's miracle working power through the Holy Spirit. Every person was created by God with a purpose.

WHY ST. HELENS?

The population of Columbia County is 51,782 with St. Helens being both the largest city and the county seat. St. Helens has had a 5.1% increase in population the last three years. A staggering 80.1% of people in Columbia County have no religious affiliation. That means there are over 41,000 people in Columbia County who need to hear the Gospel. The rate of poverty in St. Helens is 26% which is much higher than the poverty rate of Columbia County, which is 14%. This means that a quarter of the population is below the poverty line. We want to see a city and region transformed by the love of Jesus. If you would like to partner with us in any way contact Pat at pat@thepromise.cc
